Photograph submission – detailed instructions

• Each author can submit up to three photographs. Each photograph must be submitted separately.
• A photograph in an electronic format has to be submitted on line along with the description of a photograph.
• Do NOT send the hardcopy printed photograph at the time of photograph submission. Authors of accepted photographs will be requested to send in the hardcopy photographs after acceptance/rejection decision is announced.

Requirements for photograph in electronic format:

• Submitting the photograph in electronic format is obligatory
• JPG file
• Maximum size of the file 600 kB
• Ratio of sides of the photograph must be the same as ratio of sides of A3 format or of Ledger format.
• Length of the longer side of the photograph 1280 pixels (length of the shorter side may vary according to whether the photograph is A3 or Ledger format)
• Color or B&W
• Portrait or landscape format

Hint: If you are preparing an image for abstract submission from a high resolution image which is A3 or Ledger format, just resize the image so that the longer size is 1280 pixels long.

Requirements for description of the photograph

Description of the photograph must be prepared using the template for description of a photograph. Write required information to the template. There is a text box “Description of photograph“ in the online submission system. Copy and paste the completed template to this text box when submitting your photograph online.

Requirements for hardcopy printed photograph

• The photograph will be printed out by the author
• Authors of accepted photographs will be requested to send in the hardcopy photographs after acceptance/rejection decision is announced
• Do NOT send the hardcopy printed photograph at the time of photograph submission
• Format A3 (420x297 mm) or Ledger/ANSI B (431.8 x 279.4 mm, 17 x 11 inches)
• Photograph must cover the entire are of the paper, no white strips along the sides of the paper, no white margins
• Color or B&W
• Portrait or landscape format
• Glossy paper
