CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Život 90 and the International Federation on Ageing are very proud to announce a limited number of scholarships to assist delegates from emerging and developing countries to attend the IFA 11th Global Conference on Ageing.

Preference will be given to:

• IFA members
• Persons who do not have the financial capacity to pay all of the expenses
• Persons who are recommended by a partner organisation of the Conference
• Persons who will be presenting at the conference

To have a diversity of opinions and views, applicants from a maximum of different countries will be selected,and the principles of equal opportunity will apply.

Scholarship includes:

• Partial or total conference registration fee
• Return economy airfare (limits may apply)
• Accommodation (from 28 May to 1 June 2012, 5 nights)

Scholarship does not include:

• Ground transportation in the country of origin
• Ground transportation to and from the Prague airport
• Costs related to obtaining a visa
• Personal expenses
• Optional social functions

Selection process:

• Successful applicants will be contacted within 8 weeks after the submission deadline.
• Before submitting a visa application (if one is required for the entry into the Czech Republic) it is necessary to complete the Personal Data Form https://secure.guarant.cz/ifa2012/UserPages/InteractiveAppForms.aspx as part of conference registration and obtain an Invitation Letter issued by the conference organizer

Important notes:

• There can be long delays in processing visas so delegates are advised to apply immediately after they have been notified of their successful application
• The scholarship will be automatically cancelled if the successful applicant cancels the Conference Registration
• As funds are limited the scholarship program may not cover all of the expenses that the applicant requests e.g. travel, accommodation and full conference registration fee.
