Visitors from non-EU Countries must posses a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the length of stay. Participants requiring a visa should apply immediately to a consular office or a diplomatic mission of the Czech Republic in their country in order to avoid a delayed arrival to the Conference. Please note that the visa application procedure can take up to two months. It is not possible to obtain a visa at Prague Airport.
The Congress Secretariat will assist delegates by processing official invitations upon request.
These letters do not commit the Local Organising Committee to any financial obligation.
For more detailed information please see: www.mzv.cz
Contact the embassy and ask which of the following documents they require to issue a visa for you:
Official invitation by conference organisers or Official invitation by the Foreign Nationals Department of the Czech Police.
As soon as you know which of the above documents you need, send an email to the Congress Secretariat (ifa2012@guarant.cz) with the information needed to issue the invitation.
The official invitation issued by the Foreign Nationals Department of the Czech Police costs 95 EUR (delivery service included)
As soon as the required data is received, the Congress Secretariat will start the procedure for issuing your official invitation. The procedure usually takes a few weeks. When the official invitation is ready, it will be sent to you by post or express delivery service. You should then present it at the Czech embassy in your country to obtain the visa for the Conference.
If you have any questions concerning visa procedures or if you face any problems in your country, please contact the Conference Secretariat at ifa2012@guarant.cz.
Please note that the Conference Secretariat can only help with obtaining visas for those people who are going to attend the IFA 11th Global Conference on Ageing 2012. Thank you for your understanding.
