Michelle is a respondent in the session and will discuss the results of research commissioned by Age UK looking at the current state of health of the older population in the UK and what health outcomes are actually being achieved. The UK Government is currently planning sweeping hbalthcare reforms and this research will help inform how to meet the needs of older people better. Michelle will also reflect on the challenges presented by the keynote speaker, including to what extent non-health related factors such as age discrimination are significant.
