Well known leader and visionary in the field of education and training, Prof Joseph Troisi from the European Centre for Gerontology, University of Malta leads a stellar list of presenters from Spain, Israel,Russia and the Netherlands in a special symposium “Education and Training in an Ageing World”. The symposium aims to capture some of the national and international education and training efforts being implemented ranging from high specialisation at university level as well as at the grass roots’ level. Special attention is given to the cultural differences in developed and developing countries; though the basic issues dealt with are the same, the approach differs. Zivot 90 and IFA encourage further papers and symposiums on the subtheme Access to knowledge, education and training within the theme Older People and Development.
