Ladies and Gentlemen, Friends and Colleagues,

Zivot 90 is honoured to have been selected to host the
IFA 11th Global Conference on Ageing in Prague in 2012

On behalf of the Board of Zivot 90, it is my great pleasure to extend a personal invitation to attend the next IFA Global Conference in my home city of Prague.

Against the breathtaking beauty and historical significance of the stone Gothic structure known as Charles Bridge which has been connecting people from the Old Town and Malá Strana since the 15th century this global event aims to build bridges across disciplines, sectors, governments and business in themes that challenge and inspire all delegates.

Delegates will be part of history when ”Ageing Connects” becomes for a moment in time the global connection point for policy, programmes and practices; knowledge creation and learning opportunities.

PRAGUE is situated on the Vltava River in central Bohemia and contains one of the world's most pristine and varied collections of architecture, from Art Nouveau to Baroque, Renaissance, Cubist, Gothic, Neo-Classical and ultra-modern.

PRAGUE is also:

  • the sixth most-visited European city after London, Paris, Rome, Madrid and Berlin
  • a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • an important node point in the global economic system
  • a city of bridges and towers
  • a city hosting international music, writer and film festivals as well as fashion shows
  • a city of dialogue and a cultural melting pot
  • a top-tier nexus city for innovation of the global innovation economy
  • is the home to many buildings by renowned architects, including Adolf Loos (Villa Müller), Frank O. Gehry (Dancing House), or Jean Nouvel (Golden Angel)

Let us look into the future with confidence.
Let us expand the boundaries of the possible.
Let us create a global community and global networks.
